But then the former beautician's life was turned upside down after she created a show-stopping dress made out of Skittles, which led clothing company Ripleys to give her her own line.
Sarah, 28, from Wakefield, has now used her design skills to create something far less sweet: a top and skirt made from human pubic hair - which she hopes to sell for £10,000.
Sarah decided to create the pubic hair top and skirt because she wanted to 'kick Lady Gaga off her throne'.
The superstar singer wore a dress made from meat at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards - and Sarah hopes that her new outfit will win plaudits for being even more disgusting.
She told FEMAIL: 'I would absolutely love to sell this outfit to Lady Gaga.
